1 | Spending the night in participating destinations
When spending one or more nights in one of the participating destinations and their boroughs (see list) in the Harz, you will receive the Harzer Urlaubs-Ticket.
2 | Receiving the Harzer Urlaubs-Ticket
Upon arrival at your accommodation you need to register with your host and pay the visitor’s tax. Afterwards you will receive a booklet in which your registration form is integrated. This booklet in combination with your registration form serves as the Harzer Urlaubs-Ticket (‘HATIX’).
You are now entitled to free bus and tram transportation starting for the period of your stay. Therefore ensure that your arrival and departure date are clearly noted down. If you are accompanied by family members or friends, make sure that the total number of people travelling and their names are listed on the registration form.
3 | Using HATIX and its validity
When entering the bus you need to show your booklet with the registration form to the bus driver. HATIX gives you free unlimited use of the regional public bus and tram services in Harz District (‘Landkreis Harz’) as well as on selected lines in the Mansfeld-Südharz District (‘Landkreis Mandfeld-Südharz’) for the duration of your stay. Please make also note of the implementing regulations.
